Mask size
Start with the Right Size
The size of a goalie mask is determined approximately by the circumference of your head.
| Head Circumference | Approx. Size |
|---|---|
| 49–52 cm | S – Youth |
| 53–56 cm | M |
| 56–60 cm | L |
| 60 cm and above | XL |
Important: The measurements above are approximate. Every head is different, and in addition to head circumference, the shape of the head, face width, forehead, temple area, and chin position also play an important role.
If you measure exactly 56 cm, you may fall between sizes M and L. With a circumference of around 60 cm, we recommend comparing sizes L and XL.
The actual fit of the mask on your head is always more important than the measurement alone.
How to Measure Your Head Circumference Correctly
Use a soft measuring tape and position it:
- Approximately 2 cm above your eyebrows.
- Across your temples.
- Around the widest part of the back of your head.
- Horizontally around your entire head.
The measuring tape should sit snugly against your head without squeezing it.
For accuracy, repeat the measurement twice.

How to Tell if a Goalie Mask Fits Correctly
Even choosing the correct head circumference does not automatically guarantee an ideal fit.
After putting on the mask, check that:
-
- The forehead sits comfortably against the padding.
- The mask does not cause painful pressure around the temples.
- The cheeks are in contact with the inner padding.
- The chin sits securely in the chin cup.
- The back of the mask sits firmly against the head.
- The mask does not move up, down, or from side to side.
- You have a clear and unobstructed view through the cage.
The mask should fit securely without creating painful pressure.
If you are between two sizes or deciding between two models, we recommend trying the masks in person.
